Blueberry Lassi
Posted on 15. Jan, 2010 by grace in Drinks, Indian

In rural India, lassis are normally drunk during the day for breakfast or lunch. It is taken before the meal, during the meal or even after the meal. This unique blueberry lassi is best drunk in the summer season. Though blueberry is not an Indian fruit, I made this low calorie lassi because blue berries have got high concentration of antioxidants, which combat the free radical damage that can lead to cancer, heart disease and aging. – J.K. 4 cups fat free yogurt
1/3 cup cold water
½ pound blueberry
1/3 cup honey or 3 ounces sugar
12 ice cubes
Rinse the blueberries in cold water. Put in a blender and make a fine puree.
Add water, fat free yogurt, honey or sugar. Blend well. Now add ice cubes and blend for another 10 seconds. Serve cold in a glass.

I noticed the Blueberry is great for recovering energy….my question is what is the storage life in the refrigerator for your drink. Does it need to be consumed within a few hours or can it be stored a few days?
