James McDevitt earned Food and Wine Magazines Best New Chef award and a Rising Star Chef nomination from the James Beard Foundation. Half- Japanese, he owned and operated the Asian-American inspired Restaurant Hapa in Arizona that won him critical acclaim since its opening.

In addition to making Gourmet Magazines list of America’s Top 50 Restaurants, Hapa received Zagat’s Survey highest rating for cuisine in Arizona. Mcdevitt then moved onto operate the Asian-Accented cuisine of Restaurant Budo with his partner in California.

McDevitt, 37, came to Four in January 2007, after helping relaunch Manhattan‘s Le Cirque in its new Bloomberg Tower location. .
