The Miyoshi family is the premier Sanuki udon artisans in Japan. In recognition of their continued excellence, the father and son team has received the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries’ award for Sanuki craftsmanship a combined number of five times.

Osamu Miyoshi, the heir to the Miyoshi tradition, is the proud son of Sanuki Udon guru Kiyoshi Miyoshi. Osamu divined the secrets of the trade by taking away what he could from observing his father at work. In combination with his own research, Osamu has developed unrivaled skill and knowledge of exactly what type of flour, noodles, and dashi soup will result in the award winning Sanuki Udon.
