As a native Angeleno, Brooke Williamson began her culinary career working as a teacher’s assistant at the Epicurean Institute in Los Angeles. But her talents were truly recognized as a pastry assistant at Fenix at the Argyle. At 18, under the guidance of Chef Ken Frank, Williamson won First Place in the Quady’s four Star Pastry Competition.

Amuse Café is Williamson’s first restaurant where Williamson serves in the role of owner. She shares not only administrative duties with her partner, Nick Roberts, but also kitchen duties as co-chef. She lives in Venice, California.

Nick Roberts grew up in Carmel, California, where his family owned Durney Vineyards, a pioneering wine operation in the Carmel Valley. After studying at the California culinary Academy in San Francisco, Roberts headed to New York to gain experience in such acclaimed restaurants as Union Pacific, Ducasse, and Café Boulud.

The culinary duo of Brooke Williamson and Nick Roberts—owners of Amuse Cafe—also launched Beechwood Restaurant in the former Menemsha space on the border of Marina del Rey and Venice.
