    For this recipe ( Toasted Coconut Cream Pie with Lime Whipped Cream) in directions for pie it says after filling pie crust with filling to cool to set for 4 hours…then goes on to describe prep and application of cream topping. I am assuming the filling must first set up for the 4 hours before topping with whipped cream – correct?

    Hi Anthony- correct! You want the filling to be totally cool and set BEFORE you can top with the whipped cream or else the whipped cream might melt and puddle over the whole thing. I hope you enjoy the pie!! Joanne
