WASABI CHILI LAMB KEBAB

Ingredients

5 garlic cloves, crushed
1 2-inch piece of ginger, chopped
3 green chilies, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
3 tablespoons plain yogurt
4 tablespoons cilantro leaves
1 pound lamb, ground
salt to taste
3 tablespoons wasabi paste
1 tablespoon tabasco green pepper sauce
lemon wedges for garnish

 

 

Method

Combine the garlic, ginger, chilies, onion, yogurt and cilantro leaves in a food processor to form a smooth paste. In a large bowl. Mix in the ground lamb, ground paste, salt, wasabi, and green pepper sauce. Mix well. Divide the meat into 16 portions. Shape each portion into an oval patty, cover and chill for an hour.

Preheat the broiler to high. Using four metal skewers, thread four meatballs onto each skewer. Broil for 7 to 10 minutes until slightly brown on top. Turn over and cook the other side. Serve with lemon wedges.
