Originally from Seattle, Bill Tocantins went to college in Boston and began working in restaurants shortly thereafter. He then moved on to Conecticut, New York and Los Angeles. While in a Los Angeles restaurant, he invented Ginger Margaritas and saw that they were very successful. It wasn’t much of a leap to then make Ginger Martinis, Ginger Mojitos and eventually “Gingerize” ™. The quick and easy Gingerita proved to be equally useful in foods for salad dressings and marinades and more.
