Hi Soo Shin Hepinstall, a cookbook author, food consultant for H-Mart and an award winning novelist, has devoted more than twenty years to promoting Korean cuisine, both in the United States and abroad. Her cookbook, Growing Up In A Korean Kitchen portrays the richness of traditional Korean cuisine that is interwoven with memories of her childhood kitchen, preparations for special feast days and the rituals of everyday family meals. Hi Soo has given food demonstrations and lectures at the annual meeting of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP), the 2005 Smithsonian Folklife Festival and universities in the United States and Korea
