Besides training at the French Culinary Institute, he apprenticed with Alejandro Heredia at Hacienda de los Morales in Mexico City, honing his skills at preparing a broad range of dishes, from ceviches to guacamoles. He became executive chef at SushiSamba and later helped open SushiSamba7, and another SushiSamba in South Beach, Miami.
